  • Help using technology software or equipment and learning software in the 133 Demonstration Lab.  Assistance with technology problems while teaching in and of the technology classroooms on the first floor of Erickson Hall

Awards

  • ITSE – SIGTE Research Paper Award – This award by ISTE’s Teacher Educator Special Interest Group recognizes excellence in research in the area of technology and teacher education. All research papers accepted for presentation at NECC, including those selected for both the research paper and round table categories, are eligible for the SIGTE Research Paper Award.
  • IMS Global Learning Consortium – The Learning Impact Awards (LIAs) recognize use of technology to improve learning across all industry segments and in all regions of the world.  The LIA awards are unique in that they recognize the use of technology in context. Nominations include not only information about the technology but how it is used by an educational or training organization. In addition, the entries are evaluated according to eight criteria of impact, including improving access to learning, improving affordability of learning, and improving the quality of learning.  http://www.imsglobal.org/

Faculty Technology Spotlight

Punya Mishra

Punya Mishra is an associate professor of educational technology. His research has focused on the theoretical, cognitive, and social aspects related to the design and use of computer based learning environments. He also directs the Master of Arts in Educational Technology program and co-chairs the Innovation & Technology Committee of the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education. Punya's Blog is a digital archive of his professional work and personal pursuits, including his development of the TPACK theory of Technology Integration into Teaching with fellow College of Education professor, Matthew Koehler.
