Dr. Yong Zhao

Yong Zhao is a University Distinguished Professor of educational psychology and educational technology. His research interests include global education reforms, second language education, technology evolution and adoption, digital literacy, and online language learning. He directs the Center for Teaching and Technology and the U.S.-China Center for Research on Educational Excellence. He is also executive director of the Confucius Institute at MSU. His research activities focus on the impact of globalization on education, comparative and international analysis of educational policies, and the social, cultural and psychological interactions between technology and education. His current research projects include Education for Global Citizenship (EGC), online Chinese instruction, and game-based second language education.
Terri Gustafson

Terri is the Assistant Director of the Center for Teaching and Technology. She works with technology support and development programs for faculty at the college. Terri’s research focuses on online learning, collaborative applications and rich media application for online learning.

Lisa Payne is the Administrative Assistant for the Center for Teaching and Technology. She coordinates and facilitates the inter workings of the office.

Ken Dirkin is an Information Technology Professional for the College of Education and is an award winning documentary filmmaker. He designs, develops and produces a wide array of video, CD, and internet related products. His interests lie in collaborative online applications and video production.
