2009 Technology Conference – Registration Now Open

Registration for the 26th Annual Educational Technology Conference to be held on Saturday, November 14th, 2009 is now open.  Current students, interns, Alumni, teachers, technology coordinators and administrators are encouraged to attend.  The day will be filled with concurrent information sessions and workshops, beginning with a featured presentation in the Erickson Kiva by Andy Losik, the 2009 MACUL Technology Using Teacher of the Year.  Andy teaches elementary infotech classes at Bentheim and Blue Star Elementary Schools in Hamilton, Michigan and has a blog and resource page called Infotech with Mr. Losik at http://mrlosik.blogspot.com/.  He is a Star Discovery Teacher and Google Certified Teacher as well.  Past presentations at the annual MACUL Conference have included Build Your Own K-5 Literacy with Google Lit Trips and Maps and Web Kids 2.0.  Andy received his B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Hillsdale College and his M.A. in Educational Technology from Western Michigan University.

Faculty Technology Spotlight

Punya Mishra

Punya Mishra is an associate professor of educational technology. His research has focused on the theoretical, cognitive, and social aspects related to the design and use of computer based learning environments. He also directs the Master of Arts in Educational Technology program and co-chairs the Innovation & Technology Committee of the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education. Punya's Blog is a digital archive of his professional work and personal pursuits, including his development of the TPACK theory of Technology Integration into Teaching with fellow College of Education professor, Matthew Koehler.
